Before you post a that scathing review about your former employer on Glassdoor, ask yourself the following 4 questions:
- Is it true?
- Is it kind?
- Is it necessary?
- Are you being vindictive?
If you can’t answer yes to the first 3 and can’t be impartial on number 4 – you may want to reconsider writing the review.
If you need to remain anonymous to bash your former employer in a public forum – you may want to reconsider writing the review.
Even if what you say is 100% accurate (for the record I believe that all reviews have some semblance of truth in them) – you may want to reconsider writing the review.
If the company sucks as bad as your review says it does, be glad you no longer work there! AND, it won’t be long before the general public, their customers and partners find out. Remember, word of mouth is incredibly powerful, and no amount of PR or spin will change that.
If your company does not respond to BOTH good and bad reviews, you do so at your own peril. Your reputation is at stake, and there is always three sides to every story, yours, theirs, and the truth!
